The Book Job

so i’m watching the Simpsons again apparently
there was a small period of time that i laid it off from my TV calendar, there were too many things going on and i didn’t have time for my favorite five yellow people…but i feel like the quality has picked up since then.

also Neil Gaiman guest stars in this episode!

So it’s an episode of The simpons with a subject close to my heart, books! nope, book writing? nope…GETTING YOUR BOOK PUBLISHED

so many beautiful references in this episode that i weep, i weep tears for my unpublished novel…(which is getting a complete rewrite, 2500 words in so far)

this episode was produced by Matt Selman as well

check it,a small reference for The Magicians and The Magician King fans! Matt Selman is friends with Lev Grossman because they use to write on a Time blog (which is non-existent now) called Nerd World. I know this because i’m a creep…

GAH SO AWESOME…

similarly, this was what kept me reading 1Q84…its about a girl who couldn’t write but became a best seller due to a ghost writer….dammit these things are no good but i almost wished that it happened to me. Does that mean i’m starved for fame? Not exactly, but some recognition from this ‘world’ would be nice. it doesn’t need to be a best seller, it could be a job, any job…

The Food Wife

It is funny because it is true

S23E05

I follow Matt Selman, the producer of the Simpsons, as well as Anthony Bourdain, of the food/travel show, No Reservations as well as the best seller on twitter and a long long long time ago I knew he was going to be on an episode of The simpsons. And here we finally are…

90s cartoons

I grew up with One Saturday Morning on ABC, do you remember it? They had great shows like, Pepper Ann, Recess, The Weekenders, Lloyd in Space, Fillmore, Doug etc etc

I still watch Saturday TV but mostly on my computer now because Disney just stopped making cartoons, instead we get horrible shows with no creativity, no real pop culture and “role models” that will eventually grow up and start making se x tapes.

recently I found a torrent of the entire 5 seasons of Pepper Ann. I’ve NEVER seen the ending to Pepper Ann till now. I wish I had never seen it.

I don’t know if you’ve seen the ending to pepper ann but it was about her growing up, and not caring about any of the things that they did when they were kids. Pepper Ann became a 20 something journalist and basically depressed about life, she goes to her middle school reunion and finds out that everyone has changed. I think the point of the episode was that we never really have to grow up and Pepper Ann had to be taught a lesson in it or something but anyways, depressing episode, not funny, not poignant, way to end a great show. It was pretty sad that the writers had to write an ending in which Pepper Ann grew up and became a member of society that did nothing exciting and complained about stuff, we’d all find out about it eventually, so back it up and dont put that kind of thing in kid’s cartoons. but anyways…

i’m really sad that they don’t make as many good cartoons like before…

sigh

but anyways, the internet will always be here.

There are still ways to cheat Youtube

The Weekenders: Season 1 + 2 , season 3, season 4
Fillmore: incomplete though I think
Lloyd in Space

it’s not super hard to search for videos on youtube but sometimes they do get taken down, i hope they’ll leave the weekenders up at least, but it’s disney, and it’s kinda evil.
