concert going summary

I sort of saw 3 shows last week, if you count this Monday as part of last week.

Saw the Shins on Tuesday, Dragonette (with Rebecca) on Saturday, and Beach House yesterday.

Here are some instagram photos taken with a potato.

Maybe it’s the fact that I’ve been going to way too many shows but I was so happy to see the presence of SEATS at The Shins show. YES, sitting down! Leaning forward at the most! I’d rather just chill out than to have to jump around in a mosh pit, or even a crowded dance floor.

Dragonette was amazing as always. If they ever come to your town I would highly recommend it because it’s just a really really fun show! They have had 3 albums out so always expect the singles to be sang and a few of the Martin Soliveg (?) collabs. I was exhausted on Saturday so I didn’t even go down to the floor and instead stood around on the balcony. I wish I was energetic enough to go dancing though X_X

Beach house was last night and I didn’t get any photos. Again I was exhausted but mostly because I sort of had a food coma from lunch with my friend at Burgoo. I skipped half a day of work simply because I was frustrated and everyone was being extra passive aggressive. Meh, I’d rather be mentally sane than to make a few bucks. Beach house was really great, very mellow and chill even though I didn’t know most of the songs….or actually any of the songs!

I like going to shows, that is all….

I am so jealous of you for seeing Dragonette. In fact, I am jealous for all the bands you saw especially Dragonette.

The hall looks very nice. I really like the murals.

Haha I totally agree. I rather take a seat than to stand in the pit in most cases.

You saw a lot of shows! I usually go 2-3 times a year, which is really not a whole lot, but I should do it more often though. :(

    Glad you had fun!

  • […] Go to any concerts this year? I felt like I went to a few too many concerts. Mother Mother, Metric, Dragonette, The Shins, Franz Ferdinand, Beach House, The Arkells, Two Door Cinema Club and possibly […]
