I love this because during the day, most of these spaces are utterly packed – but at night, there’s hardly anyone around whatsoever – we discovered this when we walked home after shopping at Wangfujing – it’s pretty eerie, but beautiful at the same time.

only because it was close to the national day that they shut down a lot streets down to prepare for the parade or w/e
else it’s packed i think!

Beijing at night is actually quite calming and weirdly quiet, too.
