More on Lomography and the E-PL2

I felt like it’d be ridiculous if i just kept adding to the previous entry

to be honest all i’ve had to eat today is 4 GOLDEN oreos (with the new packaging no less, I get all of my junk food from the source a Wal-mart in the states, our Wal-marts just don’t compare) and left over fried-rice, i have to go to work later at 6 and it’s already 2…

anyways

so I was going to go do something constructive but then I found this video on the DigitalRev channel page featuring a comparison between the E-PL2 and lomography, the E-PL2 is something I am probably definitely going to get. It actually comes with these amazing filters you might see on iphone apps like instagram or android apps like Vintage camera and what not, I usually do these effects on my own in photoshop or the TOY CAMERA app… which I will find the link for you soon to download. Oh here’s the link, it was in the readme …file, I should have known that.

so this is someone named Mijonju and he specializes in lomography and he has a twitter, tumblr, flickr and of course youtube page, and he has his own youtube show. Oh of course he has a blog as well

so other than videos, he shoots exclusively in film is what I assume?
so this is the first video that i watched on his youtube page and it’s for the release of the hello kitty fisheye camera a while back, I do remember this camera because I made a post about it at PROP.

due to various reasons such as lack of funds and general laziness, I can’t imagine shooting a lot in film. BUT! I do have a holga fisheye ( from Tim, thank you!) and a Diana mini (from Lok and Rebecca and Carolina thank you!) and I’ve wrecked at least 2 or 3 rolls of film already, but I think I am very much willing to try it out again.

As for the E-PL2, I dont’ see any reason in not getting it, I will definitely save up for it….

I’m going to try doing more photography after I finish my novel
which reminds me that it’s 2:30 PM and I haven’t written a single word today

Last night and this morning I was feeling dejected because nothing was coming out, but I just realized that it’s suppose to be fun, just like with lomography, photography, blogging, anything really, it’s suppose to be fun and I’m not having fun anymore. There are so many things that I don’t know and I feel embarrassed that I had to look up the definition of an epigraph this morning, I always knew what it was but this word was slightly foreign to me. I felt sad that there are so many things that i don’t know yet I have the nerve to put hand on keyboard and text to word document but what can I do, I AM only 22, please let my age be an advantage to my innocence in word play and not a hindrance to my overly-complicated ideals of what a novelist should be.

And this is going to sound as pretentious as fuck but, I want to write my stories in a way that a scene is seen in off of a toy camera, dreamy, blurry, colors and more subdued and so on.

I’ve literally written in my notepad “THIS CHAPTER BETTER BE DREAMY AS SHIT” yeah, good stuff right there.

Please look forward to it, i think i think too much and i’ve taken the fun out of it all already.
