yeahhhh! i went and did it. To be honest this was not what i was expecting at all. Last time I went to cut my hair I was complaining that it’s too flat and there’s almost no volume in my hair no matter how much volume-izing shampoo I use.
So the lady that cuts my hair, her name is May, said that she could do it so it looks volume-ized but without making it curly, or showing any obvious curls. I was like, YES let’s do it, next time…
so that was like 3 weeks ago, and finally I got around to doing it. I woke up late even though May said to come in the morning so I’ll miss the rush. I was there for FOUR HOURS doing this. So, I was feeling pretty calm, I’ve had 2 other perms before in my life, but back then my hair was longer.
So yeah, I kind of freaked out when she undid the things that hold your hair in place while they perm it (3rd frame). I WAS LIKE OMFG it’s a poodle. But I didn’t react that strongly. I use to freak out so much when I get a bad hair cut now it’s like, dude, it’s me, I can rock this.
LOL that being said, I began to ask her nervously while she fixed it what it was gonna end up like this. I didn’t really like it right after but I got home and looked at it longer I think it could work, and now I’m not in love with it but I like it enough to keep trying different styles with it.
But yeah, it wasn’t really her fault since I didn’t clarify what I did want, but next time I will ask for a different style, I think I’m gonna get more perms from now on. No more flat hair :D
And my hair color got lighter, i dyed it not too long ago to a dark dark brown but the chemicals in the perm took out the color and now it’s this amazing shade of hazelnut brown. WIN :D
